The Most Dramatic Bachelor In Paradise Moments Ever

celebrity | Rick Lax & Friends | 9/10/18

In my opinion, Bachelor in Paradise is way more fun to watch than The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. There are more possible couple combinations, which means there are more opportunities for love and for drama. Bachelor in Paradise has given us some of the franchise’s most beloved couples. I am a believer in this process, no matter how much of a train wreck it is sometimes.

Keep reading to relive some of the most dramatic moments of the series. Remember when Grant and Lace got matching tattoos? Yeah, that happened.

Kirk And Carly’s Epic Breakup

It doesn’t get much more dramatic than the moment that Kirk broke up with Carly. It looked like this couple truly found love in paradise. They were talking about marriage and children and making plans for the future.

Then right at the end, Kirk started having second thoughts. He broke things off with Carly on the last day of Paradise. Carly had a meltdown. Carly was crying, her best friend, Jade was crying. There was almost too much raw emotion for reality TV.

Carly and Evan’s Relationship

Carly decided to come back to Paradise after the whole Kirk disaster. This time she met Evan, the dorky dad and erectile disfunction specialist from Jojo’s season. Evan basically fell in love with Carly at first sight. It took Carly a little bit longer.

A few horrible kisses, awkward dates, and chili peppers later, Evan and Carly made Bachelor in Paradise history. Now they’re married and they have a beautiful daughter named Isabella.

Jade And Tanner Are Paradise Goals

Jade and Tanner are arguably to most successful Bachelor in Paradise couple to date. Tanner went under the radar when he first appeared on the franchise during Kaitlin Bristowe’s season. Jade made it pretty far on Ben Higgins’ season, but ultimately, that wasn’t meant to be.

Jade and Tanner found love in Paradise, got married on national television, and now they have a daughter named Emerson.

The Jared And Ashley Saga

Where do I even start with these two? Ashley fell head over heals in lust with Jared the moment they met. She was basically obsessed with him. She spent the next few years desperately trying to get out of the friendzone, sabotaging Jared’s relationships, and even finding something resembling love on The Bachelor Winter Games.

Fast forward to 2018. Jared came to his senses (because Ashley was dating somebody else) and finally proposed to her on the beach where they met.

DeMario And Corrine Make Everybody Go Home

So here’s what we know about what went down on season four of Bachelor in Paradise: Corrine and DeMario met on the first day. They hit it off and started making out (as you do). They got super drunk and a producer was worried about possible sexual misconduct.

Everybody was sent home, production came to a screeching halt, neither Corrine nor DeMario really knew what was going on. There was an independent investigation which determined that no sexual misconduct took place. Then everyone got to go back to Paradise except Corrine and DeMario…

Grant And Lace Got Matching Tattoos

Grant and Lace were basically a disaster waiting to happen. They were both impulsive and emotionally unstable— this relationship was volatile, to put it mildly. The pair got matching tattoos in paradise— the word “grace,” which is a combination of their names.

They got engaged on the show, but then they split up (no surprise). Lace says she has no plans to get her “grace” tattoo removed.

Taylor And Dereck Made It Work For A While

Taylor was on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor. She emerged as a villain towards the second half of the season. She came to Paradise to redeem herself. She was a bit more bearable in Paradise, and she even met Dereck.

Taylor and Dereck formed a pretty strong relationship that lasted for a while outside of Paradise. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. Taylor and Dereck broke up in the summer of 2018.

Marcus And Lacy’s Fake Wedding

Marcus and Lacy were one of the strongest couples to come out of Bachelor in Paradise season one. They got engaged at the end of the season, and got married in Mexico during the season 2 premiere.

Apparently that wedding wasn’t entirely legit. Lacy didn’t want to make their union fully legal in the United States. Marcus and Lacy broke up shortly after the fake wedding.

Chad And Chris Harrison Face Off

Chad quickly emerged as the villain on Jojo’s season of The Bachelorette. When he showed up in Paradise, everybody knew some drama was about to go down.

At first everything seemed okay, but then Chad got up to his usual antics. Chad got into a fight with Chris Harrison, the host of the show. He swore at him and tried to start a fight, but Chris was having none of it. Chad got kicked out of Paradise.

Samantha’s Long Con

This one is a bit complicated, so bear with me. Samantha wanted to meet Nick in Paradise. Before she even got to Paradise, she started texting Joe, another Bachelor in Paradise cast member. She told Joe that she wanted to meet him in Paradise, so he should just do whatever it takes to stick around until she gets there.

Joe leads on Julia so that she’ll give him her rose. Then Samantha shows up, she leads Joeon so he’ll give her his rose, and then Nick shows up, so Samantha leaves Joe for Nick. Sneaky.

Tia And Colton’s Rollercoaster Relationship

Hold on, this is going to be a bumpy ride. Tia and Colton dated for a second before Becca’s season of The Bachelorette. Tia actually showed up on Becca’s season to tell Becca that she still had feelings for Colton. Becca doesn’t choose Colton, so Colton and Tia end up in Paradise together.

They go on a date, they like each other but Colton says he isn’t ready to commit because he hasn’t gotten closure after his relationship with Becca. Then Becca shows up in Paradise, he gets some closure, Tia and Colton go on another date, they become boyfriend and girlfriend, then Colton decides that he can’t give Tia everything she deserves, so he leaves Paradise. Now Colton is the Bachelor, so I guess that worked out for him.

Adam And Raven Had A Smoother Ride

Tia and Raven are actually BFFs. They both grew up in the south and they’ve known each other for a while. Raven and Adam met on season four of Bachelor in Paradise. At first, Raven wasn’t too sure about Adam, but then they went on a date and she saw him in a new light.

Adam and Raven are still going strong. Hopefully there’s a Bachelor franchise wedding in their future.

Amanda And Robby Just Weren’t Meant To Be

Amanda and Robby had a difficult time in Paradise. At first Amanda said that she didn’t have any romantic feelings for Robby, but then she came around and decided to date him. They dated for a while outside of Paradise, but then they broke up.

After they broke up, Robby released a bunch of their emails and text messages on Twitter. Not cool, Robby, not cool. To be fair, Amanda sort of started it. She tweeted something about Robby first, although she didn’t use his name.

Leo’s Dramatic Exit

Leo was on Becca’s season of The Bachelorette. When he showed up in Paradise, he took Kendal on a date. Kendal was already developing feelings for Grocery Store Joe at the time. She was attracted to Leo’s passion, and she started questioning her relationship with Joe.

Then Leo kissed Chelsea, didn’t tell Kendal about it, Kendal found out about it, and then Leo went bananas. He got mad at Kevin for telling Kendal about the kiss, and at Kendal for “being an actress,’ whatever that means. Then he threw a drink in Joe’s face and some producers tackled him. This is the kind of drama we expect from Bachelor in Paradise.

Krystal And Chris Are Making It Work

Krystal and Chris somehow just work together. Chris is a special kind of annoying, but Krystal seems to bring out the best in him. I just hope he stops calling himself “The Goose” sometime soon.

These two have had their ups and downs separately, but now that they’re together, it seems to be smooth sailing. Hopefully it works out for these guys. I have high hopes.

Basically Everything About Josh Murray

Andi Dorfman gave Josh her final rose on her season of The Bachelorette. They got engaged, but it was never going to work out. Josh was kind of a doofus, and nobody thought he was good enough for Andi. Andi wrote a tell-all book about her life, and spilled some juicy gossip about her relationship with Josh.

Josh showed up in Paradise and stirred some stuff up. He and Nick Viall got into a fight, and he got engaged to Amanda (much to our disappointment). That relationship didn’t last very long (thankfully). Hopefully Josh is learning from his mistakes.

Kevin And Astrid Find Love In Paradise

Kevin, our Canadian king, met Astrid on the first day of season five of Bachelor in Paradise. He had some trust issues after Ashley I. basically cheated on him, but he came to Paradise looking for a new start.

Kevin and Astrid slowly but surely fell in love. Kevin still thinks that he doesn’t deserve Astrid, and that she’s too good for him (I mean, look at her), but I have high hopes for this couple.

Dean’s Love Triangle Drama

Everyone loved Dean after his run on Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette. When he got to Paradise, a lot of ladies were interested in exploring a relationship with him.

He ended up caught in a love triangle with Kristina and Danielle. Basically, he didn’t treat either lady fairly. The trio actually went on The Ellen Show so Dean could explain himself. Ultimately, Dean saw the error of his ways and apologized to both women.

Scallop Fingers

On season four of Bachelor in Paradise, Christen got the unfortunate nickname, “Scallop Fingers.” Apparently she was eating scallops with her hands in the back of a car, and then she started touching some of the other ladies.

The other women didn’t want their shoulders to smell like scallops because of Christen’s slimy scallop fingers. What can I say? Weird things happen in Paradise.

The Twins Set A Trap

On season three of Bachelor in Paradise, Brandon decided to ask Haley on a date. He swears that he can tell her apart from her identical twin sister, Emily. Haley agrees to go on the date, but she decides to put Brandon to the test. Half way through, she runs to the bathroom and switches places with Emily. Emily goes on the second part of the date with Brandon, pretending to be Haley.

Brandon failed the test and didn’t even notice that he wasn’t with Haley anymore. Emily and Haley never told Brandon about their little game. I guess he found out when he watched the show.
